2019 Goals

I am a rather ambitious individual, but I've found that I enjoy living a life filled with ambition. Here are some achievable, measurable goals I have for myself in 2019.

For 2019 I'm setting out to work on the following:

  • Lose weight until I hit 225lbs or less (my fitness goals be like)
  • Provide world class support to our customers, my team and our company at Webflow
  • Launch and do something with browseradvocate.com
  • Create a Webflow Ecommerce course detailing how to create an Ecommerce business from concept to fruition (I'll be sharing this on my YouTube channel)
  • Write my first book on servant leadership (planning to simply write it as a series of blog posts and then go the audible route where I'll read it aloud)
  • Bring more illustrations to life on the web (I'm looking for illustrators if you'd interested in working together)
  • Share more about my process in the web design, development and freelance realm
  • Draw more
  • Sleep more
  • De-screen more (currently have at least 2 waking hour of de-screening a day, looking to bump that up to 3+)
  • Go snowboarding
  • Speak at a conference
  • Attend at least one leadership based event (whether a conference, Epicurrence or workshop)
  • Potentially hold my own small un-conference type event about leadership
  • Build out midwestmuttshop.com more
  • Partner with a designer to build out at least one non-profit website
  • Build more utility based templates
  • Learn more about accessibility, animation, color theory and business strategy

Every time things become easier to do, competitive advantages are lost, innovation ensues, and new advantages are derived.

It's nice to be appreciated

It's a wonderful feeling to be appreciated. As humans, we crave and desire recognition & appreciation, whether we acknowledge it or not. I firmly believe that our levels of joy, and those around us, increases as we express and amplify moments of gratitude within our lives.
